Munch Bunch

M: What yogurt would you like, Sally Strawberry or Andy Apricot.
G: Sally Strawberry. No. Andy Apricot. No. Sally Strawberry.
M: Hurry up and choose one! Which one?
G: Andy Apricot.

(I remove lid from AA.)

G: No like Andy Apricot! Just have Sally Strawberry.
M: No, I've opened him now, you'll have to eat him!

G: No like! Waaaaaah!
M: (Getting cross) Poor Andy Apricot. He's going in the bin now. No one loves Andy Apricot.
G: (Through tears) Leah no love Andy Apricot! Leah just love Mummy!

imagination

Leah sat in a pile of felt tip pens this morning and announced that she was a hedgehog. She posts parcels to grumps using her car seat strap as a letter, and goes shopping to tescos by herself (tescos seems to have moved to the front porch.) So far these games are mostly by herself. I'm waiting for "mummy, let's pretend..." then there will be no stopping her!

Went to see baby Lorna today (aged four days.) She is only 6 pounds 4 oz. Leah liked her "tiny little feet" and was quite happy to let me cuddle her. This is the first of many of her peers to have a baby sibling, I wonder when Leah will demand one of her own?

We went to feed the ducks and swans at Birnie Loch but they were a bit noisy and crowded her a little. So we went round the loch - she walked almost all of it, with a bit of holding hands and singing Tommy Thumb songs (among others.)

I let her loose with my felt tip pens this afternoon - there is no going back!
