Tommy

Ever since our holiday to Kirkcudbright in May with the horse called Tommy and cart, every animal has been Tommy. Daddy brought home a black cat from Tescos the other night for Grock and she has called it Tommy (the cat.) She then excitedly showed us Tommy (the horse). Every animal is a girl at the moment as well, including Mr Bumble and Mr Sloth.

We left Grannys house at lunchtime to go and get Sandy and returned later having collected him. Leah ran into Granny's arms and struggled to get a sentence out - it finally appeared as "we saw Granny a long time ago! Nice to see you!" which was very cute. They get longer and longer - as do the songs and the tunes she can sing.

Granny produced two new puzzles with wooden pegs the other day and Leah did them both straight off, first time, and then rejected them. They have gone back in the cupboard - too easy!

Songs

Leah's favourite song goes like this: "Rockabye Baby on Tree top, When wind blow cradle rock, when wind blow cradle fall.... down come baby cradle all!" She also loves "five little ducks go svim one day!" Today was Sandy's birthday and she had a play cake to help blow out the candles. We went to gymnastics, but she needed some persuasion. "Stay Granny! Do puzz!"
She prefers gymnastics to toddlers (I asked her when in the bath) but she seemed to have a pretty good time at both today. She sometimes starts talking at 7am when she wakes up and doesn't stop until she goes to bed at night. Even then you hear renditions of songs and things she has learnt to say from the baby monitor. Tonight from the pillow we could hear "My Word!!" Cheers Granny!
