Eating your own weight in cheerios

Today Grockelina has eaten (in this order)
1 small banana
I bowl of shreddies (large)
I orange
I chocolate digestive
15 cheerios in a bowl
a babybel cheese
Another 15 cheerios in a bowl
Two dry crackerbreads (large)
30 more cheerios (shared with Polar Bear but ultimately consumed by Grockelina)

Then it was 11am. She had a nap in order to prepare herself for lunch.

Walking

Grockelina and I walked to the Playgroup coffee morning from the car, holding hands. She made a rabbit hat and a necklace from some beads, and stickered a Mother's Day card for me. Then I showed her how to dip her finger in the sugar from her duck biscuit and lick it off. She was a Noisy Penguin in the bath tonight and thought she was very funny. She gets more lovely every day (just like her mother.)

snotty Grock

Grockelina has had German measles, conjuctivitis, excema and now tonsillitis (I can blame her father's side of the family for almost all of them). She likes her medicine but would prefer to have the whole bottle at one sitting. She lies on my knee watching Balamory "Bala!" and snuggling. This is not the Grockelina I know, who resists cuddles. This Grockelina is warm and soft and sleepy and pale, and she ought to be feisty and naughty and pushing all the boundaries. I'm looking forward to the next day she walks about saying "no no no" before trying to climb into the washing machine/open the bin/stick her hands in the loo/open the kitchen cupboards. The spice rack will not be safe for much longer I hope.
