Grockelina knows all her colours. Granny's response was "Do you expect me to be surprised? All my grandchildren are gifted!" I knew the multi-coloured stripy scarf I knitted for Daddy would come in useful. She can point at pink, green, blue, orange, red, black, grey and purple (and she also knows white.) However, ff you ask her what colour anything is, she says "Boo!" or "Ello!" as those are the only two she can actually say. Today's new words were ladybird, (lay!) mangled (mang) as in "stop mangling that Leah" and "dais!" for daisy. They are all sitting there on the tip of her tongue. When the flood of second syllables come, there will be no shutting her up. We have read "Flora's blanket" about 25 times today, in rotation. She likes to say "No, no no!" like Flora. I never thought she would sit and listen to "proper" stories, but she understands enough now to enjoy them. This is the loveliest age she has ever been.
