Memory

Grocksy woke up in bed the other day singing (as usual) and continued for the best part of an hour. Her repertoire includes Wriggly Nativity (from our singing class) and she sits all her teddies in a circle as she pretends to be the singing lady. She also sings the ABC song (in it's entirety) from memory, which is quite impressive!

We went to Center Parcs in February for a week, and tried to entertain her on the car journey with our own memory of her best loved books. Daddy and I started "We're Going on a Bear Hunt" and once we had begun, she started to point out all our errors and recited the entire book, more or less by herself.

The same thing happened with one of her Apple Tree Farm books. We got one of the pronouns wrong and then realised that she actually knew this particular book word for word - and then further realised that it was the same with all 20 of them!

Grocksy has started playgroup and had a lovely conversation with Heather about who she loves yesterday. "Duncan?" asked Heather. "Yes - and Sandy! But thems noisy!"

She loves playing doctors (teddy, who goes everywhere now) usually has a sore tummy. I was the doctor and asked her "What should I do?" "Call a fire engine!" she replied!
